Lake Bled 2016

Our last stop on our interrailing journey was in Lake Bled! This was quite a last minute plan as we had a few days left on our rail pass and we had heard lots of people talking about it in hostels. Going to Lake Bled was probably one of our best ideas on the trip. The Lake and the scenery were breathtaking, we walked around the lake and then found a nice spot to stop and swim to the island in the lake, here we walked around and stopped to admire the views. We made friends with the people in our hostel room and woke up at 5:30 one morning to walk to Vintgar Gorge and back. The walk to and from Vintgar Gorge was 10KM and then 4KM around the gorge, so by the time we got back to the hostel, me and Alice crashed and slept for most of the day.  Lake Bled was one of my favourite places we travelled to and I can’t wait to go back one day.
