The next time I had some free days I took the train to Bologna and Modena. In Bologna I spent most of the time wandering round the city exploring different streets. Whilst I found there wasn’t an awful lot of stuff to do in Bologna, it’s still worth a visit to climb the 498 steps to reach the top of the Asinelli Tower. Once at the top you can see terracotta roofs for miles, right up to the horizon, and for only €5 it’s definitely worth it. I wish I had gone to Santuario Della Beata Vergine di San Luca as it looks so beautiful!
I of course had to find somewhere to eat bolognese since it originates from Bologna. It is definitely the best place to eat bolognese, don’t think I’ll ever eat a nicer pasta dish!
